Originating from NYC, McCurry (Micki Prodigy) started his journey in the dance world at the age of 19. He praises Columbia College Chicago, Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre, the legendary House of Ninja, and the Ailey school for the development of his artistic career as a professional performing artist. He holds a BA in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from Columbia College Chicago w/ a concentration in music business/talent management. Performing in a sold-out concert headlined by the legendary rock band Phish in the iconic Madison Square Garden arena, is definitely one of McCurry's fondest moments thus far in his career.
Notable credits: Jean Paul Gaultier, STREB Extreme Action Company, Phish, Donald Lawrence, Disney Live!, Dance Africa Chicago, BBC, Vevo, Andrea Kelly Dance Theater, and London International Festival of Theatre.
After being introduced to the underground LGBT ballroom culture in 2005, McCurry was "voted" into the now legendary House of Prodigy in 2008 and continues to participate on and off in the American scene while maintaining his professional career. He is now an integral part of the development of the ballroom scene in Europe as a vogue dance educator and guest judge in The Netherlands.
