ABOUT TYRONE

At the young age of 8, he began to sing and write songs with a neighborhood friend, to further cement his love of music. Tyrone joined his middle school choir and remained a member for three years. While a member, Tyrone also participated in school productions of "Guys & Dolls" and William Shakespeare's "As You Like It." In 2001, Tyrone auditioned for the prestigious Duke Ellington School of Arts, for Dance. Discovering a strong love for dance, Tyrone continued to seriously train as a dancer, but not leaving his passion for music too far behind.

After graduating, Tyrone moved to Nashville, TN, where he kick started his dance career. He continued to sing and write music, with the hope of  touching the world with his music. These dreams continued to follow him on his next journey in New York City, where he danced with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's junior company Ailey II. While in NYC, Tyrone's love of music grew immensely after experiencing his first studio session, while writing for another recording artist.

Moving back to Rockville, Tyrone began training at The Victor Litz Music Center under Meghan Wiliams Elkins. Tyrone's big break came when he was asked to perform in Connecticut's Fashion Week hosted by Longe Magazine. This marked the first time any of Tyrone's music was heard in public a setting. Tyrone is currently set to release his new single, Like I Never Left, from his upcoming EP entitled, Ty'd Up.
